Weight loss patch

Weight loss patches may seem to be the latest in a host of weight loss schemes, although some companies are making false claims about how well they work according to the United States Federal Commission. The weight loss patches make bold claims by saying they help to stop the food cravings that a number of overweight individuals feel and help to get rid of the excess fat.

It is said to be more effective than a diet pill because it goes directly to your body without passing through the stomach, which can remove important nutrients found in other weight loss regimes. The chemicals released into the blood stream can be multi functional so they will help to speed up a person’s metabolic rate, stop the feeling of hunger and reduce the amount of fat and oil that is usually absorbed into the blood.

The transferral delivery system used is safe and works based on the idea that some molecules are so small that it is possible for them to be easily absorbed through the skin and then directly into the bloodstream for the body to use. This is a much more efficient way to take drugs as there is little wastage which can take place when normal medication is taken with as much as ninety five percent of the drug reaching the cells.

To ensure that the weight loss skin patch would work, the molecules present in any medication to be used must of a size small enough to be absorbed through the skin. Depending on the purpose, a weight loss skin patch can contain chromium, hydroxycitric acid and caffeine which are the same ingredients found in a number of weight loss supplement regardless of the delivery system used.

A number of makers have now started developing and marketing their own versions of the patch, although some are more effective than others and many experts agree that there are other aspects that may need to be considered when assessing the efficiency of these patches. There are those that believe that while somebody wears a weight loss patch, other psychological factors involving the fact that the patch is actually being worn to lose those excess pounds may go someway to producing the results.

To ensure the patches work at their best, they should be stuck to clean dry areas on the body, preferably the back. Wherever there is excess hair, you may want to remove excess hair first on a particular area before putting on the weight loss patch or to choose another area where there is less hair growth.

This will make sure that the weight loss patch will not only stick better (ensuring optimum absorption), however removal will also be relatively easy and pain-free. Ensuring the patch does not get wet is also important because the water may affect the chemical constitution and as a consequence it will not deliver the correct amount into the skin. Now, wearers should expect a weight loss patch to work merely on its own, but rather as part of a complete weight loss program which would mean regular physical activity and a recognized healthy dietary plan.
